3rd Annual CURB Bike Ride

The 3rd Annual CURB Bike Ride is this Monday, August 7, 2006. It is a fundraising event for the non-profit organization, CURB, which is responsible for making the City of Long Beach handicap-accessible.

The 25-mile ride begins at 10 AM in the parking lot of the Long Beach Catholic Regional School on W. Penn St., between Grand Blvd. and New York Ave. There is an entrance fee of $15.00 per child (17 and under) and $20.00 per adult, payable by cash or check. (Please make all checks out to "CURB".) Donations are also accepted.

So come out Monday morning, support the organization, and take a slow-paced ride with us around Long Beach Island!

Summer Concert Series

The Long Beach Summer Concert Series is now under way and we're looking for volunteers to help us record each concert and spread the word about Long Beach Radio. We need people to record audio, record video, take photographs, hand out fliers, and assist the other staff members in doing their jobs.

If you're interested in offering up your time and/or equipment, please drop us a line via our contact form.

Thanks for your support!

Special Message

Our first audio broadcast has been posted over on the Latest Broadcast page. It's not very long or detailed, but it does include some very important information. Please go have a listen. It's available in both M4A and MP3 formats.

Community Feedback

We at Long Beach Radio have plenty ideas about what topics we should focus on. However, just because we think all of our ideas are great doesn't mean that they will interest the community at large. Therefore, we ask that you give your feedback as to what you would like Long Beach Radio to cover.

What in and around the city interests you? What do you feel is missing from existing news outlets? What events do you wish you knew more about before they actually occurred? What about Long Beach—past, present, or future—would you like to know?

We'd be happy to receive any and all feedback you have to give. Just head over to our contact page and drop us an e-mail. We look forward to serving the city of Long Beach and its surrounding areas.
